Life Drawing Thrusday 3/31/11

First attempt with life drawing and india ink. I thought I could do better with it cause its like watercolor. Guess not. Next week we can use color more. I know it will be better.

Lofty Renovations

A lot of things are going to happen soon. Currently I live part time with my boyfriend in an apartment on the North Side while we go to school. His dad used to live here but now he lives with his fiancee at her house. They are going to get married soon and Mike will move into the attic of her house. Its an attic now, in the next two months it should be our new mini loft. It is pretty much the size of our apartment now. I love adding my girly touches to everything, but its not my home to design the entire area. Mike said I can decorate the entire bathroom anyway I like. I'm excited to come up with cute ideas for it. I cant wait to show everyone how it will look when everything is finish!

Life Drawing Thrusday 3/24/11

Only 4 more weeks of my first year at art school left. I draw everyday for at least 5 hours straight. On the days I dont I feel useless.  I wish I started Life Drawing Thursdays back in September. Oh wellsies.
This week, just like last week we had to put the model into a scene. I turned Steve the model into Mary Poppins. I LOVE IT! It makes me giggle.

Life Drawing Thrusday 3/17/11

For life drawing we had to draw our model and then put her into an environment. Using reference photos. I like the body but everything else is .. "eh.." I hope next week is better.

So very CozY

One of my most favorite places to eat in Chicago is CozY noodles n' rice. I just call it CozY. I just went there last week and I wanted to share my experience with you. Its on the north side of Chicago near Wrigley Field. Thats where I am 50% of the week. If you are around there, GO! Its so yummy and cute!

Artist Evening Part 5

We all know how I HATE cats.....

Arent these just to die for!?!  They are by a polish artist named Ewa Ludwiczak, and who is one year younger than me. (JEALOUS!) I'm highly considering buying a print from her. But which one!?

Life Drawing Thrusday 3/10/11

I like drawing feel. But I'm not fully happy with this. I did get a B+ for my Life Drawing midterm, and my teacher is a tough cookie. Yipppy!

In my school everyone has one year to decide their major. This is really nice because if you are not fully sure, you can get the feel for different areas. And you are not really wasting time and money. Everyone needs to learn the basics. It doesnt matter if you're going into digital art or traditional. I was originally signed up to be an illustration major, but now I am a water color major. I'm excited! I have officially change and it feels FUCKING GREAT! These are a few reasons why I changed..

Three Year Anniversary

Today is Mike and my THREE year anniversary! Holy cow. When I met him I never would have know that we would be together for this long. Now, I want to marry him and have a family. (With not just kitties) We have been together for 1,095 days. We both are going to the same art school and have the same major. He love kitties with all his heart, just like me.
