Tamar Morgendorff

Right after I was getting my tattoo this week, I walked past this florist called Asrai Garden.  (The florist has beautiful flowers too. I would love for them do to my future wedding) I saw these mushrooms in the window. Instantly drawn to them, I went in the shop to see how much they were. A lot out of my price rang for stuffed mushrooms, but I found out the name of the artist who makes them. Her name is Tamar Morgendorff and is from New York. I wanted to share some of her beautiful work.

Birthday Festivities

Here are some pictures from my birthday week. I had little events go on each day. Sunday presents with my family and my gorgeous biff (best friend) Erica made me this .... deer cupcake stand. It made me so happy. I heart my biff.

These are the flowers from Mike. Tuesday he went out to the store, then came back. An hour later at exactly midnight he went outside and gave me them. I love him so much. Yellow roses are one of my favorites.

For my birthday the bestest blog friend, Cait, gave me this little kitty. Its handmade by her. Cait is beautiful, has lovely blog, and is in love with kitties just like me. Check her out if you havent yet. I also wanted to thank her for a great birthday present. THANKS CAIT!

Here is my new tattoo! Its my present from my boyfriend. Thursday I got it done by a female artist named Jen Trok. She is adorable, upbeat, and reminds me of a blonde Zooey Deschanel. I plan to get a lot more done by her! I'm really big on supporting female tattoo artists. Now, this little owl NEEDS a name. I was hoping I could count on you ladies to help me name him. Any ideas?

Today is my 23rd birthday! I was born on Monday, August 24th 1987 at 3:44 pm. I hope you enjoy me being born. Here are some pictures from my 1st to 8th birthday. Then I get awkward and I wish you not see that. Birthday tattoo tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!

Little Cottage

This is a little cottage in my Aunt and Uncles back yard. I am in love. Its more fit for a hobbit than a tall lady like myself. I really hope when Mike and I have our home I can have something like this, but life size. The song below is called Little Moon by First Aid Kit. Great indie band from Sweden. I felt it was perfectly appropriate for the image. *swoon*

I was just browsing the interweb and I came across these Folk Owl prints by Kat Heyes. Dont you just love them? I wish I could buy one, but I think her Etsy is down. Oh sadness. I will have to enjoy them like this. The first one is my favorite.

tea for two

I was walking home from my second day of school orientation (oo la la), and saw this little table setting in someones back yard. I've walked passed there a million times and never seen it before. Maybe its something about being in art school. I was inspired to notice my surroundings more. I thought I was super observant before. I just cant wait to walk past it tomorrow.
