doe-eyed deer

These brown eyes made my boyfriend fall in love with me. And sometimes he calls me a doe-eyed deer. If you follow me on instagram (considermydear) I know you've see this already. I wish I could be a deer every day. The ears and antlers were made by me and I just love them! I walked to school this morning with all the boring working people. I honestly loved getting the stares. I was way cuter than any of them!
I hope everyone has a fun Halloween!

all hallows eve

This is my dad! Hes adorable. Every year my brothers and I would take photos with our pumpkins. We would put them on the table just like this and then set our head on the table too. It was like our heads were the pumpkins also. Ah memories. I know I could go searching for the pictures from every year. Maybe next year.

My pumpkin idea was from the cartoon The Pumpkin Who Couldn't Smile. It was a Raggedy Ann and Andy movie, watch the movie if you have 20 minutes tomorrow. Its so cute and just 80's classic. (Actually made in '79. I remember watching it every year as a kid.

The second Halloween movie I wish everyone knew about is The Worst Witch. I would say J.K Rowling stole Harry Potter from this movie. For real. Its a school of witches and all the witching that goes on with that. Its so cute. A baby Fairuza Bulk is the main character.. also Tim Curry is the Great Grand Wizard! He's suppose to be the dreamboat.

The kitty babies

I recently aquired a very nice camera from a friend to do my best friends engagment photos. Naturally, I took a ton of cat photos first. For practice of course... Lately I've been thinking all you need to be a good photographer is a expensive camera. I am not a photographer, but I wish I had a nice camera. I cant wait to share the engagement photos too. I'm pretty proud of them.

Look at her, melts my heart.

Swoon List

There is just a few little things I've been swooning over lately. Things are just so freaking stressful over here still. I just want to lie in a bubble bath forever with a computer to look at beautiful things.

hugs and kisses, maybe one more extra kiss

PUMPkin Patch!

This past Sunday Mike and I went to a pumpkin patch. My best art school friend, Bri, and her boyfriend Mitch came with us. Due to a lot of stressful things going on at home we NEEDED a lovely day!  We ordinarily planned on going to the "popular" pumpkin patch. We got there and it looked like a state fair. It was about 2pm and the parking lot (corn field) was packed. A man directing traffic. A trashy lady taking photos with a scarecrow feeling her up. Yep you heard me right. TRASH CITY!

Now I should have listened to the ladies at work because they told me about another pumpkin patch. It was 15 minutes away. So we hit the road and forgot about the "popular" pumpkin patch. We got there at about 2:30pm and they closed at 4 so I was scared we wouldnt have enough time. We went for it anyway. Its called The Childrens Farm. The parking lot was comfortably packed and there wasn't people as far as the eye could see.

*Becki's New Rule* Never go to the "popular place"

It was super cheap and we got to touch duckies, bunnies, sheepies, piggies, goaties, horseies, there was a haunted maze, a anti-hay ride, and the patch. It was perfect.

Goats just love me for some reason. And I love them

Why does this ghost say BOOG!?

In the end this was our final choice in pumpkin. Even the girls at the weighting area said it was one fine specimen of a pumpkin. We got this and two little pumpkins and then we put them on our porch.

After the pumpkin patch all four of us went to a mexican restaurant and had strawberry mariritas and chili con queso. So yummy! The perfect ending to a lovely day.
SADLY this morning when I left the house the two pumpkins were missing. I think a animal had a lovely lunch with them. I was sad but at least it wasnt from dumby teenagers.

Artist Evenings Part 8

Amongst the internets, I came across these spectacular illustrations. I think they are just so wimsical! They are by an artist named Terry Fan. I just adore this style of art. So inspiring!!! It definitely reminds me of one of my favorite books growing up, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. Nothing like the crappy animated movie. The book was beautiful.  And guess who is going to wear their hot air balloon necklace tomorrow now.
Also, hopefully I will share some of my art from the last couple of months later this week.
